Once it has been confirmed that there is interest in employing the services of a SOC and the technical benefits have been aligned with organizational priorities, it is necessary to gather the support of the organization’s executives and Board of Directors. To gain their support, it is often necessary to articulate the business case for a SOC in terms that connect to your organization’s business drivers and core values. This paper will support the effort to develop a strong business case to illustrate the need for an improved security program and specifically for a Managed SOC.
